Regional Economic Development Fund

What is the Regional Economic Development Fund?

The Regional Economic Development Fund provides funding for economic planning, opportunity identification and capacity development at the regional and community level.

Who is eligible?

  • Municipal and First Nations governments and local governing bodies;
  • Yukon First Nations development corporations;
  • Community associations; or
  • Yukon businesses (must be registered with Corporate Affairs) or business-related organizations.

How much funding is available?

The maximum funding available to any single project is $50,000.

The applicant must provide at least 15% of the total project costs and the total contribution from all Government of Yukon funding sources must not be more than 75% of the total project costs.

When is the deadline?

Applications may be submitted at any time.

How do I apply?

  1. Contact the Regional Economic Development Branch to find out if your project is eligible.
  2. Put together a project proposal with guidance from Regional Economic Development Advisors.
  3. Submit completed project application.
